Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is dedicated to finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Collectively known as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are chronic and debilitating diseases affecting an estimated 3.1 million children and adults in America, with nearly 60,000 people diagnosed in San Diego, Riverside and Imperial Counties. These chronic, life-long conditions can be treated, however, there are currently no cures. Because of continued commitment from supporters like The Legacy, the Foundation is making great strides in IBD, including:

  • Building resiliency and empowering patients to help themselves including programs like Camp Oasis for pediatric patients.
  • Inspiring and engaging patients and caregivers in the country’s largest IBD community.
  • Accelerating the pace of research by breaking down traditional barriers to patients, data, funding, and collaborations.
  • Leveraging years of major, foundational research investments.
  • Catalyzing critical research in new domains such as pediatric viruses, psychological stress, and diet.

Thanks to your unwavering support, one day we will find cures for these diseases; and in the meantime, we will ensure that every patient lives their most fulfilling life.
