In July, members of The Legacy made what has quickly become an inspiring trip to Pro Kids / The First Tee of San Diego for the Junior Legacy. Typically held during the Spring school break in March, this year’s Junior Legacy had to defer to Mother Nature who intruded on the original Spring date with an uncharacteristic San Diego rainstorm. The competition mirrors the iconic Legacy Invitational of three nine-hole rounds of golf with each competitor playing with three different partners during each nine. The dedicated Pro Kids staff led by Director of Golf Curtis Burkhead, select 18 young ladies and gentlemen who are paired with 18 members of The Legacy. It is a day filled with the challenge of golf and renewing the long-established friendships shared by the Legacy players and the inspirational kids. It is what Pro Kids and The Legacy do best; making an impact in our community alongside friends who simply want to make certain Pro Kids founder Ernie Wright’s dream and vision reaches far over the horizon.
