Legacy Ladies Night Out III opened with a casual reception of wine, appetizers, and a spirited team golf contest in the newly christened Rischard C. Helmstetter Performance Center at The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe. Four teams of five each took a ride on The Legacy magic carpet to take their shots at a closest to the pin at the iconic par three seventh hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links. The 105-yard hole sitting at the edge of Stillwater Bay made for an enticing target. Following the closest to the pin contest where each team earned points based on their best two shots, they wandered to the putting green to see which team would sink the most putts from a short four feet and then from a more challenging 10 feet. When the final stroke was made at Pebble Beach and the last putt was holed the team of Linda Acosta, Sharon Brower, Diane Rohan, Taunja Feldman, and Karen Sullivan would win in a card playoff. Kelly Bellmeyer, Marty Pendarvis, Joanne Marks, Ivana Ermitage, and Dorian Sailer earned the silver. Sandy Mossy, Patti McCord, Courtney Day, Christine Isen, and Jennifer Pace claimed the bronze. Many thanks to Bridges Director of Instruction, Matt Kilgariff for teaming with Bridges Professional Emeritus, Rick Peters, and to Executive Chef Meredith Manee for their expertise in presenting Ladies Night Out III.
The Ladies Night Out has become one of the most fun evenings of the Legacy year. The reception is followed by a wonderful dinner in The Bridges Wine Loft. It is one of a handful of events through the year that is a chance to get together with Legacy friends to celebrate all that The Legacy means to the community of San Diego. Ladies Night Out IV will certainly be as entertaining as its ancestors when the calendar turns to May of 2023.
