The Lucky Duck Foundation was founded by Pat and Stephanie Kilkenny in 2005. After collaborating with Peter Seiler, owner of the Padres, and business leader Dan Shea in 2016, they focused their efforts squarely on alleviating the suffering of the homeless throughout San Diego County. Their initiatives include:
Funding region wide employment and job training programs.
Distributing 1.250 million meals and more than 5,000 winter coats that fold into sleeping bags.
Lucky Ducklings, a youth led movement of 150 high schoolers to help the homeless.
Countless other best in class, difference making programs to help people transition out of homelessness.
Their premise is simple: if you have some good luck and fortune in your life, share it with those less fortunate.
Pat and Stephanie match all donations up to $1.5 million per year.
